- I’ll give a summer workshop at Ar.Co: Cinema Workshop: Film project dossier — from 13 to 17 July 2026, Monday to Friday from 10h to 13h.
In order to bring their projects to fruition, filmmakers are constantly asked to present their ideas, often whilst these are still in their infancy. This is where the project dossier comes in, a document designed to show potential partners — sponsors, festivals, residencies, amongst others — what we intend to do. As well as being necessary, the project dossier can help us clarify our intentions and begin to structure our film.
Participants are asked to bring along an idea for a film they would like to make and share it with the group. We will work together on the key documents needed to present it to potential partners: a synopsis, a director’s statement and, if possible, some form of (audio)visual material. This workshop could well lay the foundations for the creation of a new film.

- Classes finished this year at Ar.Co. We watched the films made by Gabriel Scotti, Sarah Bogan, Miguel Soares and Pedro Faria at the Video Lab I, the workshop I’m running, along with Gonçalo Robalo, coordinator of the Cinema/Moving image course. Very proud of the results, I hope they will soon be available to watch!
- We started working on the editing of Fusil Olimpico, Manuel Muñoz’s new feature film. The director came to Tavira for an intensive editing residency, the first moment of a phased collaboration.

- Justa received two awards at the Beijing International Film Festival, Best Artistic Contribution and Best Supporting Actress for Madalena Cunha.
The jury was presided by the actress Juliette Binoche and included the directors Bigan, Tran Anh Hung, Gabriel Mascaro, the actors Zhang Xiaofei, Zhang Yi and the composer Simon Franglen.
- Justa, by Teresa Villaverde, co-edited by me, is included in the Tiantian Award Official Selection at Beijing International Film Festival.
March 2026
- IndieLisboa Lab’s first meeting is finished. We will be at the festival in May to continue developing our projects and to present them to people attending the industry section.- Still—moving was selected for IndieLisboa Lab! I will be at this year’s edition of IndieLisboa to develop the script/narrative of this project, my first feature, in a scriptwriting lab coordinated by Fernanda Polacow.

- Intercontinental, the feature film by Salomón Perez that I edited, was awarded Best Script (Salomón Perez) and Best Supporting Actress (Tania Del Pilar) at the XVII APRECI - Asociación Peruana de Prensa Cinematográfica Awards!
January 2026
- Justa, the new feature film by Teresa Villaverde, in which I worked on editing, was selected for the Berlin Critic’s Week.
It will screen on the 15th of February 2026 at 8pm at Hackesche Höfe Kino.
- This month I started working on the project Está do Aço - E9G organized by Associação Questão Repetida. Está do Aço is a social intervention project promoted by the Portuguese Republic and IPDJ, I.P and it’s cofinanced by Algarve 2030, Portugal 2030 and the European Union through the European Social Fund.
It aims to help children and young people from Lagos (coming from multi-challenged contexts) discover new personal, educational, and professional pathways through art.
I will be working with the students, creating a video for a community performance entitled Passos Comuns (Common Steps) that will be presented on February 27 in Lagos, at Centro Cultural de Lagos.
- The short film I edited, Estou a sentir qualquer coisa by Nuno Pimentel, will premiere at Semaine de la Critique de Montreal (Canada)!

- Comercial premiere in Portugal of Justa by Teresa Villaverde, feature film I co-edited.

- Happiness in a pot and Bonjour Eric are screening at Mostra Internacional de Cinema de Faro (PT)
- I will start teaching at ETIC_Algarve (Faro). The module Introduction to Cinema of the course Directing for cinema and TV is an introduction to film history.

- Classes started at Ar.Co Centro de Arte e Comunicação Visual, where I’m teaching in the Cinema/Moving image course. Video Lab I is a project development class and Workshop de rodagem is a training for shooting situations.
